A Kwekwe street kid identified as Junior was found dead hanging on a mangoe tree in a suspected suicide incident in Kwekwe central business district near CBZ bank this Wednesday morning.
Speaking to one of the street kids who was at the scene, the now deceased was acting strange yesterday.
“He was acting strange yesterday, he climbed on the tree and asked for marijuana.
” He told us that he wanted to commit suicide but we did not take it seriously.
“He had a misunderstanding with one called Mundebele but we do not know where he is now,” said one of the street kids.
However, some people who were at the scene suspect foul play.
“These street kids know what they did to their friend because if you look closely everything is intact on his body, he is wearing his shoes, hat and everything. How come the shoes or hat didn’t fall off? ” said one of the people who gathered to witness the incident.
Police are yet to ascertain whether there was foul play or if it was a suicide.
