Kwekwe Mayor Dr Henry Madzorera of the Citizens’ Coalition for Change (CCC) who had also been appointment as the Urban Councils Association of Zimbabwe (UCAZ) president has been recalled together with his deputy Mayor councilor Melody Chingarande and ward 9 councilor Simon Machisvo.
In a heart rendering response, Madzorera confirmed the new developments.
“The covenant I entered into with the residents of ward 10, with the citizens of Kwekwe, and with the God of heaven and earth, to serve you for the next 5 years, has today been violated by a certain acting minister of local government and public works, Hon D Garwe.
“While I thank you profusely for entrusting me this honour of being councillor of ward 10, mayor of Kwekwe city and president of UCAZ, I also call upon the God of covenant to watch over his covenant with me. Just as we had finished the induction formalities and the hectic budget processes, this important covenant was violated.
“I implore all the remaining councillors to maintain the momentum and change the face of Kwekwe. Once again, thank you very much for the honour you bestowed on me,” he said.
Chingarande who has been recalled for the third time also confirmed the development.
“I was recalled again, I received the letter yesterday,” said Chingarande.
Meanwhile, the self proclaimed Citizens Coalition for Change Secretary General Sengezo Tshabangu has recalled some legislators and councilors in different parts of the country claiming that they had seized to be members of the party.
